Eva attained a BCom (double majors in Marketing and International Business) and Graduate Diploma in Commerce before she completed her law degree at the Victoria University of Wellington. Eva has been with Dawsons since 2009. Eva is originally from Taiwan and is fluent in Mandarin.
Eva is passionate about all aspects of family law and family litigation (application for a Parenting Order, non-removal of children from New Zealand, relocation and guardianship matters, protection order, relationship property, spousal maintenance, CYFS and PPPRA matters, and dissolution of marriage or civil union). She is a lead provider of (family) legal aid and a Family Dispute Resolution provider (legal advice). Her other areas of practice include employment and business disputes, tenancy disputes, immigration (application and appeal), debt recovery (liquidation and bankruptcy), general civil litigation, sale and purchase of residential or commercial properties or businesses, all matters relating to setting up and managing, family trusts, companies and charitable trusts, and drafting Wills and Enduring Powers of Attorney.
Eva is a member of the Chinese Methodist Church and a volunteer lawyer at the Citizens Advice Bureau (Mt Roskill branch). She is a member of the NZLS Family Law Section and Property Law Section and ADLS Inc. and a keen participant of NZLS and ADLS Inc. seminars and conferences.
Outside of work, Eva enjoys travelling and reading while busy with her family with two young daughters.
